Bright Futures is more than just a student society; it’s your pathway to success and a way for you to clearly develop those essential key skills that employers are increasingly demanding. Bright Futures gives students the chance to find out more about their options when leaving university by engaging with recruiters, as well as enable you to find out first-hand about all the different industries out there and the best way for you to take your first step on the ever competitive career-ladder.
The Bright Futures Society has been established since 1977 and is now the largest career-focused society in the UK. As a student-led peer-to-peer network, every Bright Futures Society organises events and activities that are relevant to you.
Whatever career you seek, whatever you are studying and whatever year you are in, by being actively involved in the society we can help you get to where you want to be.
The society organises a lot of unique and useful events such as mock assessment centres, interviews, presentations, business talks, workshops, training sessions, career insights, student business challenges and many others, which aim to develop students’ skills and give a deeper insight into companies’ requirements to perspective employees.
The main aim of Bright Futures Birmingham is to create a better relationship between companies and students and improve students’ network and employability. We bring together students from all faculties at the University.
In order to deliver useful, efficient and entertaining events, Bright Futures Society works closely with its partners and investors, among which: Zurich, IBM, Ernst & Young, Accenture, KPMG, Credit Suisse, Rolls-Royce, TESCO, PwC, Shell, Siemens, Vodafone, Centrica, Teach First, Aspen, AON, RPC and many others.
